entry #10 Thanksgiving Dinner and traditions
I enjoy thanksgiving dinner, but I personally like the traditions
about it more and knowing what the purpose of this holiday is. The typically
Thanksgiving meal includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean
casserole, corn, cranberry sauce, and finishing it off with some pumpkin pie;
making it the most ok dinner and is overrated in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong
I do enjoy the meal, but to say that it is the best meal of the year is just to
much. If it was really that great of a meal, why don’t people make it more then
just one day out of the year. Most people only a make a turkey one day out of
the year, even on Christmas or Easter when we gather with friends and family
for a big meal. Then when you finish your plate, you are handed a slice of pumpkin
pie, which in my opinion can only be eaten with a mountain of whip cream on
top. At the end of the day the meal is good but to me it isn’t the best meal I eat
the whole year.
My personal favorite things about Thanksgiving are being
around my friends and family and the traditions that we typically do. I enjoy playing
in the turkey bowl that we do with about thirty people at the park. I also
enjoy watching the football games that are always on. In the end my
favorite tradition is just being surrounded with the people that I love and care for. Thanksgiving isn't about the meal or watching football games it is about who you are doing those things with and spending time together with them.
Hello Kyle a lot of people have different traditions now days depending on religion beliefs and culture, but you sir sure know the true meaning of Thanksgiving. As for the meals go I like to change it up every other year, so it doesn't feel like we eating the same meal every year.
ReplyDeleteReally good job with your last 5 entries, Kyle! Interesting ideas and developed content coupled with nice visual appeal creates a very engaging blog. Nice job. You feel a bit rushed or brief at times, but overall, you are doing well. Keep blogging!
